Sophos UTM Devices

The procedure for extracting configurations from Sophos UTM devices is done through the web interface provided by Sophos.

1. Using your favorite web browser, connect to the HTTP(S) service provided by Sophos for remote management, by entering "https://" (recommended) or "http://" followed by your devices IP address, and follow these steps:

2. Logon using your administration username and password.

3. Select Management from the menu on the left.

4. Select the Backup/Restore submenu option.

5. If you want the most recent config, please select the Create backup now button.

6. The Available backups table should now be populated. Click the blue download icon on the far left of the backup you wish to download.

7. You will be given the option to encrypt before downloading. Please DO NOT select this, doing so will prevent Nipper from identifying the configuration.

8. Click the Download backup button.
